Principal's Weekly Bulletin
Ross Elementary School June 1, 2021
Principal's Message
Dear Families,
Welcome June, our final month of a challenging school year! June is also Pride month. Check out the DC Public Library's offerings for the month. https://www.dclibrary.org/dcpride
Thank you to all families who have completed re-enrollment. It is critical to maintain the resources and staff budgeted for FY22.
If your child is still learning from home and has a DCPS issued device, we need that device returned to Ross by Friday, June 25.
Wishing you continued good health. Please continue to visit coronavirus.dc.gov for the most current COVID information for DC residents.
Best Regards,
Holly

Summer Reading & Virtual Book Fair
Did you know that kids who read 20 minutes a day will have read over 2 million words by the end of each year? Research indicates that book choice plays a significant role in providing children with meaningful reading experiences over the summer break. Kids make and maintain progress when they read books they have chosen. We want to support your summer reading plans for your children.
EPIC: check out the free family resources on EPIC for access to digital books and more.
DC Public Library: Check out the Summer Reading Challenge for 2021 and get back into your neighborhood's public library. If you need a library card, please contact Ms. Juriga
