Tubman Tribune

Welcome to 2023-24 School Year (Edition 8.15.23)

Message from Mr. Greer

I am extremely excited for another new year at Harriet Tubman Middle School! This will be the second year I have the honor of serving as the principal of HTMS and I cannot think of anywhere else I would rather be in community. I look forward to being part of our continued growth, and most importantly, to working with our kind, brilliant and joyus students, staff and community.

Now in the 6th year after re-opening Harriet Tubman MS, we are gearing up for the best school year yet! After celebrating the promotion of our eighth graders in June, we are so excited to see our students continue to establish their individual paths as we prepare for an academically rigorous school year with a positive school community.

The continued call to action of high expectations for our students and staff is what it means to be part of the Legend community. You can be assured that HTMS will approach this year as we did last year, collaboratively and together!

Our first day of school for 6th graders is Tuesday August 29th. All three grade levels will come together on Wednesday, August 30th, 2023. Below contains all of the information your student needs in order to be ready for school.

Important and yearly reminders for our parents and students: While teachers prepare engaging and challenging learning opportunities for our students, your student will not benefit from those opportunities if they are tardy or absent. It is vitally important that your student come to school on time and be prepared to learn each day to the best of their abilities. If this is of concern, please reach out so we can try to support both you and your student.

Trevor Greer,

Principal
