PTA News
Read-a-thon Update:
With your help, we have raised over $22,000 in the past 2 years to put towards the media center renovations. Just this week we met with a representative from Storey Kenworthy. She will be helping us with the design of the project and we hope to have phase 1 complete by the end of spring break. We anticipate a color change, a new layout of the library, and new furniture. Stay tuned!
DMPS Community Legislative Action Team (CLAT):
One of the best ways we, as parents, can support our school and students is to be a voice to those at the district and state level. Public education funding is crucial and as stated by CLAT "our voice and personal stories will help educate lawmakers about the impact current state policies have on our students, and encourage them to adopt solutions helpful to public schools" CLAT has set up 4 coffee with legislators events.
