What is Lung Cancer?

Lung cancer is the growth of abnormal cells that bwgin in one or both lungs. They do not develop into healthy lung tissue, they instead divide rapidly and form tumors.

Some Symptoms to Lung Cancer

The most common symptoms of lung cancer are:

  • A cough that does not go away or gets worse

  • Chest pain that is often worse with deep breathing, coughing, or laughing

  • Hoarseness

  • Weight loss and loss of appetite

  • Coughing up blood or rust-colored sput

  • Shortness of breath

  • Feeling tired or weak

  • Infections

Causes and Prevention

  • Don't smoke.
  • Avoid secondhand smoke. ...
  • Test your home for radon (smoke that can't be detected by the five senses )
  • Eat a diet full of fruits and vegetables.
  • Exercise
