Parent University Presents the BCPS InfoCenter

The Baltimore County Public Schools Reopening Plan has been updated to include information on Phases 3 & 4. Parent University has created a BCPS InfoCenter where families can easily navigate the information.

Take a moment to visit our InfoCenter and check out the family choice information.

Stakeholder Survey is Open

We are excited to invite all Team BCPS members, including students in Grades 3-12, parents/caregivers, staff, and community members to participate in the 2021 BCPS Stakeholder Survey.

This survey is voluntary and designed to allow you to share your opinions about our school system. Your responses are anonymous and confidential, so feel free to be honest. We are seeking opportunities to increase satisfaction and improve performance within BCPS.

The survey is translated into 15 languages for the Student, Parent/Caregiver, and Community Member stakeholder groups. To access a translation, please select a language from the drop-down menu on the top right.

Student Member of the Board

Did you know that every year students in grades 6-12 vote to elect their student representative on the Baltimore County Board of Education? We currently have two candidates for the SMOB seat.

Students will be learning about the SMOB elections and viewing candidate speeches during their ELA and Social Studies classes from Feb 22 - Feb 26, 2021. They will also have a chance to submit questions for our candidates.

Students will view a Q&A session and vote for their next SMOB on March 17, 2021!

Meet the candidates and submit questions here.

Resource Highlights

Special Education Resource Center

All local school systems within the state of Maryland are required to receive feedback at least annually from their stakeholder groups on their jurisdiction’s Special Education Staffing Plan. In order to obtain feedback from stakeholders, the Department of Special Education (DSE) has created a Staffing Plan Survey. The Special Education Staffing Plan as well as the survey can be found on the Department of Special Education’s public internet site. The survey can also be accessed on through this Smartsheet link. Thank you for your feedback!

What is Parent University?

Parent University is offered through the BCPS Office of Family and Community Engagement, which we affectionately call FACE! We provide tools and resources to BPCS families to support learning at home. In the past, before social-distancing, one of the ways we offered these resources was through in-person workshops hosted by community members and schools. We also have a large collection of online resources that are available as we navigate through this incredibly unique time in our lives. We hope you enjoy what we have to share.
