Flexibility, Options, and Grace
Below are details of what you can expect each week. We recognize that this is a new and challenging time for everyone. We want to approach remote learning with a focus on Flexibility, Options, and Grace. Complete the lessons as it makes sense for your family's schedule, and know that we recognize that it won't be feasible for every family to complete every activity. Each week, you will receive assignments from your child's teacher, and you may choose to engage in some of the optional, supplemental activities as well.
Under the best of circumstances teachers and parents both feel the stress and pressure that comes with shaping the lives of children. We are all just trying to do the best we can. Please give yourself and your child grace as we continue remote learning.
Thanks,
BSD Department of Teaching and Learning
Weekly Activities to Expect
Each week will feature a "Big Idea", like Exploring Lines. Your child will receive activities that relate to those "Big Ideas" that allow them to explore and play. These activities are flexible and fun so that you can do them at any time! Your child may enjoy doing the activities and want to repeat them multiple times throughout the week, and we encourage you to allow them to follow the inquiry where it leads them.
