Circus Mini-term

Mini-term begins on Tuesday, December 1st. This year's theme, "Circus" promises to be fun, fun, fun! The centerpiece of our three-week study will be a residency with circus artist Joshua Shack from Circus Smirkus. Headquartered in Greensboro, Vermont, Circus Smirkus is an award-winning international youth circus. Children and adults will learn about the history of the circus, and foster teamwork and collaboration as we learn new skills to use in our culminating event, the Bement Big Top! The resident artist will be on campus during the first and third weeks of mini-term. The second week will give us ample time to practice our skills on the equipment. Students will also engage in cross-divisional collaborations focusing on circus art.

Grab your clown nose, your balancing skills, and your sense of fun for Mini-Term 2015!

Funding for the Circus Smirkus residency is provided by a grant from the Massachusetts Cultural Council.
