Bobcat Connection
Learning. Growing. Collaborating & Achieving @KrumHighSchool
August 28, 2017
Greetings Bobcats!
Last week was a memorable week as we honored our State Champion Softball Team. Thank you to everyone who made the event special. This week Dual Credit classes begin, in addition to school pictures, a pep rally, tennis, volleyball games, and our first football game!
Parent portal letters also went home last week. If you have not yet received yours, please ask your student. These letters contained information and a specific pin number that you need in order access your student's grades. Moreover, as we build college and career readiness skills in our students, we encourage our students to monitor their own progress via parent portal.
On Friday our students will bring home the first progress reports of 2017-18. One thing to keep in mind as we transition from six week to nine week grading periods is eligibility for students. Everyone will remain eligible at the first three week mark. However, the six week mark is an eligibility check even though report cards will not go out for another three weeks. In fact, there are two eligibility checkpoints in the first nine weeks grading period. (September 22nd and October 12th) There is an eligibility schedule included in this newsletter.
In this week's newsletter you will see the latest happenings at KHS, Homecoming information, and general information for students. Thank you for allowing us to brag on our students and staff. If we can ever be of assistance, please do not hesitate to call. We look forward to working with you throughout this educational journey.
