A Little Info About Me...
Kelsey Taylor
What I'm About
Greetings! I'm Kelsey. I am passionate about preparing kids for our constantly evolving world. I believe in working harder than you ever thought possible, being a light in the midst of darkness, and charging through adversity with a smile on your face. I love Jesus, my family, coffee, learning, teaching kids, online shopping, and being different.

My Alma Mater(s)
I am a Frenship graduate! I attended Frenship schools from kindergarten through 12th grade. Whenever it came to finding a district to work in, Frenship was the only place I applied. I did this because I had always been a Frenship Tiger, and I didn't want to be anything else!
I graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Arts in English and a minor in Secondary Education. Aside from always being a Frenship Tiger, I will also ALWAYS be a Red Raider. Wreck 'em Tech!
Currently, I am working on my Master's degree in Educational Administration at Wayland Baptist University.

Teaching Experience and Philosophy
This is my sixth year at Frenship High School. My first two years were spent teaching English 1 and as an assistant coach in our volleyball and softball programs here at the High School. I have been 100% in the classroom for the past three years, and I have absolutely loved it! While I do miss the coaching aspect, I believe that the classroom is truly my calling and where I belong.
I believe that, as a teacher, I'm here for more reasons than to just prepare my students to pass a test. I believe in preparing kids for real life, college, jobs, relationships, and so much more. Preparedness is achieved when students have mastered the related content AND honed valuable skills to make them better life-long learners, problem solvers, and critical thinkers. My motto in the classroom is, "I want to teach my students HOW to think, not WHAT to think."
I consider being able to be in the classroom such an honor. As teachers, we have the ability to make such an impact in our world and in the lives of our students. That is not a responsibility that I take lightly.
