Turning Rotman RED

Poppy Drive for The Royal Canadian Legion

Turning Rotman RED

Hi Rotman Students,

RED has secured 700 poppies from The Royal Canadian Legion.

We will be distributing them at school starting on the 31st of October (The Exchange).

For those who don't know, every year in Canada from the last Friday in October until the 11th of November, Canadians purchase poppies and wear them on the lapel of their coats. The poppy is worn to commemorate those who made the ultimate sacrifice since the First World War.

Remembrance Day occurs on the 11th of November, the anniversary to the signing of the Armistice of World War I.

Poppies are purchased through donations with all proceeds going to help better the lives of veterans in Canada.

It is our goal to see every Rotman Student wear a poppy this year.

This November as you meet with people outside of school, let them see you wear your poppy. Let them see you support your veterans. Let them see you as a proud Rotman student.
