Town of Sunnyvale Christmas Event
Dec. 1, 2020
Drive-Thru Christmas Event On Friday, Dec. 4
The Town of Sunnyvale's annual Christmas event will be held as a drive-thru this year. The event is free and will take place on Friday, Dec. 4 from 6 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.
Here's what we have planned for a fun-filled family outing:
- "Amped" up Christmas lights and decorations;
- Hot cocoa kits to-go;
- Arts and crafts kits to-go for the kiddos;
- Santa will be socially distanced on our antique fire engine. Be sure to wave at him!
- Decorate your car for a chance to win prizes. Photos of winners will be posted to our Facebook page Town of Sunnyvale - Government.
- "Guess the Christmas Movie" - There will be references to popular Christmas movies throughout the light display. Make a list of the movies you recognize and email it to Erica Madden to be entered into a drawing for a chance to win one of several great prizes, including a gift basket from Hope Coffee.
This is a drive-thru event only. No pedestrian traffic will be permitted. Thank you for your cooperation!
With Collins Road under construction, we are anticipating traffic congestion; please avoid traveling through this area if you do not plan to attend the drive-thru event.
- Event traffic is encouraged to approach Town Hall via Tripp Road heading eastbound.
- Vehicles traveling northbound on Collins Road will not be permitted to make a left turn into the Town Hall parking lot.
- Southbound traffic on Collins Road at the intersection of Tripp Road must turn left or right and will not be permitted to continue onto southbound Collins Road. All event traffic should approach via Tripp Road.
- When exiting Town Hall parking lot after driving through the event, a right turn will be required onto southbound Collins Road, towards U.S. 80.
Sunnyvale Police Officers will be directing traffic in multiple locations.
