The 4-1-1
- There is a website update coming this summer. Make sure to BACKUP anything you have stored on your current teacher website in NetStart.
- Many teachers are having trouble with QR CODES not working that are purchased through TPT. If they link to videos that are posted on YouTube, they will be blocked. We can show you how to create your own codes if this happens.
- BADGE REQUESTS are coming in like crazy! We LOVE that. If you need help figuring out how to earn a particular badge, we're happy to help!
- We're always looking for teachers to SPOTLIGHT on the blog. Let us know if you have something coming up!
- Next year will bring more iPADS to the primary grades. Get ready 1st, 2nd, & 3rd grade!

Life Cycle Series -- Incomplete and Complete Metamorphosis
The programs in this series investigate and compare how animals and plants undergo a series of orderly changes during their life cycle. Students will learn about the basic needs and physical characteristics that allow these organisms to survive through each stage of the life cycle.
Scientists consider prairie dogs to be a keystone species that affect many aspects of the environment. Join us as we discuss the prairie dog's importance in the ecosystem and their amazing adaptations. Many animals rely on prairie dogs in a variety of ways; their complex underground burrows provide habitat for several species, and they are a food source to many predators. We will also discuss prairie dog structures, their functions, and delve more into their underground habitats.
Awesome App of the Month
Seesaw is a student-driven digital portfolio that empowers students of all ages to independently document and share what they are learning at school. It's a great alternative for students who have a hard time logging in to Google Drive.
Check out how one teacher uses the Seesaw Blog feature in her classroom HERE. How can YOU use Seesaw?!
Techie Teacher Award
This month's Techie Teacher Award goes to Joey Curtin, 4th grade teacher at Klein Road Elementary. Joey's students have been using digital notebooking in Math. Students retrieve their "Digital Notebook" from iTunes U and open it in Notability. The notebook has every activity needed to complete an entire unit on Angles. Within the notebook are connections to vocabulary, new concepts, review of old concepts, station activities and more -- All in one place!
