Message from Mrs. Rodriguez
Dear Garcia Grizzly Family,
The third and final trimester is underway and going by very fast! We have many important dates coming up! 3rd-5th grade parents, please save the dates for the Breakfast with My Parents. It is our last round and will be an engaging morning where parents will take pictures with your students, set goals, and prepare for the end of year assessments. Help us support our Grizzlies as we enter testing season! All Grizzlies should be completing and passing two lessons a week on iReady. This can also be accomplished at home. Students who complete this will earn an iReady award at the last awards assembly of the year. Help them earn this award an recognition. Students with the highest number of lessons in each grade will also earn an award for their hard work all year!
March is Women's History Month and this is our final week! We have been celebrating and learning about many of the important women who have made history and have changed the world. We also want to celebrate all of the women of Garcia including our teachers, staff, volunteers, mothers, grandmothers, aunts, and daughters! Please see our Women's History Month Spirit Week on March 27-March 31. On Friday, March 31 is a special day for all of our girls to come to school dressed as a woman who changed history. See our spirit week calendar below.
Quote of the Month by Mrs. Phan: "Nobody can be in a bad mood today! It's Friday!" I heard this at the right time this past Friday! Thank you Mrs. Phan!

Grizzlies,
Hello Parents,
We are now in the third & final trimester! Lets make it a strong finish to the school year and support our efforts for our students to score well on iReady and on CAASPP! This is the final week of Women's History Month - don't forget to wear purple tomorrow!
Continue to remind your child about passing two iReady lessons in Math and Reading each week so that they can grow in the final iReady Diagnostic that we will take in May. We are going to have another big celebration for students who reach their goals. Also have your students use our new math program: Legends of Learning Math Base Camp.
