LESD Student Dress Code
Dress Code (Governing Board Policy JICA)
Litchfield Elementary School District feels that the student and their parent/guardian hold the primary responsibility in determining the student’s personal attire, hairstyle and jewelry. Schools are responsible for ensuring that the student attire, hairstyle, and jewelry do not interfere with the health or safety of any student and do not contribute to a hostile or intimidating environment for any student.
General Requirements
● Clothing must include a top and a bottom (such as pants, skirt, shorts, leggings or the equivalent), or a one-piece outfit (such as a dress or jump suit).
● Clothing must have material that covers the torso, front, back and sides of the body.
● Clothing must cover all private body parts and/or undergarments and must not be see-through.
● Tops and one-piece outfits must be secured with material at the shoulders.
● Footwear such as shoes, sandals or boots shall be worn on school grounds at all times, and must be both safe and nondestructive to school property.
● Headwear, including but not limited to hats, hoodies and bandanas are permitted in school buildings. All headwear must allow the ears and face to be visible and not interfere with the line of sight to any student or staff (except clothing/headwear worn for health and safety, medical or religious purposes).
Lost and Found
If your child is missing a jacket, lunchbox, or water bottle, this is an updated picture of our lost and found. Please remind them to stop by and claim their item. We encourage you to put your child's name on jackets, lunchboxes, backpacks, water bottles, etc. If you put the teacher's name, that is also super helpful. We have student leaders who will return the labeled missing items.

TAX CREDIT
Tax credit is a win-win combination! You can donate up to $200 as an individual or $400 as a couple to your child’s school and receive a full credit on your state taxes.
