PTCO and Title 1 Meeting
All parents are welcome to attend our PTCO meeting on Wednesday, October 2nd at 5:00 in the library. After the PTCO meeting (5:30), we will have a meeting to let parents know what it means to be a Title 1 school. In that meeting, we will discuss last year’s accountability data and test scores. As always, please call if you have any questions – 720.886.8600
On October 2, all schools will be doing State Count. It is the way our school is funded as we get a set amount for each student that is in attendance. Please have your student in school that day. We do have a grace period so if they are sick, please don't feel like they have to be here. Thank you for your help.

Cardboard Challenge
The Cardboard Challenge is a celebration of creativity and the role communities can play in fostering it inspired by the short film, “Caine’s Arcade” , http://cainesarcade.com/. Kids are challenged to create and build using cardboard, recycled materials and their imagination. This provides our students a unique opportunity outside of the classroom to innovate, create and shine! The event is open to ALL CCSD students, free of charge. Details can be found on the attached flyer.

Family Liaison Information
Dear Meadow Point Families,
Happy New Year! I would like to just take a few minutes to introduce myself to everyone. My name is Joei Sayers I am the school's new Family/Community Liaison. I am a Grizzly parent as well. It is my job to help families in our school community get involved by volunteering whether at the school or at a school function as well as connecting you with resources available to you in our community. Please feel free to contact me at any time with questions, ideas or concerns that I can help you with to make Meadow Point Grizzly Great.
Phone: 720-886-8655 Email: Jsayers@cherrycreekschools.org
Meadow Point can really thrive when parents and guardians in the community get involved.
Teachers sometimes need help in the class as well as cutting and sorting papers for classroom projects. We have many functions throughout the year where an hour or two of your time can make a huge difference, for instance our school carnival, fun run, field day, school dances etc.
Our PTCO is also a great way to get involved. The meetings are usually one hour once or twice a month you can sit in and listen to what is going on in the Meadow Point school community and give us your feedback.

Guiding Good Choices
Guiding Good Choices (GGC) is designed for parents of 4th-8th graders and is a great way for families to support each other while learning important information about the adolescent brain and strategies to help their kids make positive choices and avoid risky behaviors.
GGC is facilitated by trained members of the district’s mental health and/or counseling department and provide a safe and supportive learning environment for parents to gain valuable knowledge, ask questions and support the healthy development of their kids. In turn, these resources also help our schools, teachers and staff as they seek to meet student’s social-emotional and behavioral needs. This is a true win-win. Please see the attached flyer for more information.
