Calendar Reminders

SIP Day, April 29
Tomorrow, April 29, is a scheduled SIP Day in District 41. On eight SIP Days throughout the year, students in 1st through 8th grade will have early dismissal at 11:30 a.m. to allow time for building staff members to work on school improvement activities. Kindergarten students do not attend school on SIP Days. For the April 29 SIP Day, AM Pre-K students WILL NOT have school. PM Pre-K WILL have school at Forest Glen from 12:45 p.m - 3:15 p.m. For the full list of 2021-22 SIP Day dates and the Pre-K SIP Day attendance times calendar CLICK HERE.


Last Days of School

The District 41 Last Days of School was officially approved at the April 19, 2022 Board of Education Meeting.


  • Thursday, May 26, Last day for PreK and Kindergarten

  • Friday, May 27, Last day for Grades 1-8

  • Tuesday, May 31, Institute Day (no student attendance)


These days are always pending any emergency days that may occur prior to the end of the year.

Community Engagement Phase 2 Starting in May

The district, with consultants EOSullivan, has completed Phase 1 of the Community Engagement process. Phase 2 is starting in May with more data collection from the community as well as the development of some ways to solve our challenges for the future, including space issues.


All are invited to attend one of these Phase 2 sessions:

  • Saturday, May 14 -- 10 a.m. – Forest Glen School, 561 Elm Street, Glen Ellyn (combined with Second Saturday Board Coffee and Conversation session).

  • Wednesday, May 18 -- 6:30 p.m. – Hadley Junior High School, 240 Hawthorne Blvd, Glen Ellyn.

  • Tuesday, May 24 -- 6:30 p.m., Abraham Lincoln School, 380 Greenfield Avenue, Glen Ellyn

  • Thursday, May 26 -- 6:30 pm. – Virtual meeting (Click Here to register for this virtual session).

Hadley Band Director Honored as Chicagoland Outstanding Music Educator

Congratulations to Mrs. Samantha Tribley for being selected to join the Class of 2022 for the Chicagoland Outstanding Music Educator Awards! This recognition program began in 1989 to recognize Excellence in the field of Music Education in the Chicago area. To be selected, an educator is nominated by one of their peers (other educators, mentors, etc.) and selected by a committee composed of previous winners. She will join an elite list of outstanding music educators who have been recognized with this award since 1989.

Spanish Summer Camp Reminder

District 41 is excited to be able to offer Spanish Summer Camp again this year. Spanish Camp is scheduled for July 11-15, 2022 at Benjamin Franklin Elementary, 350 Bryant Ave. The camp is designed to provide practice in Spanish and develop knowledge about cultures of some Spanish-speaking countries. The camp will be open to current D41 elementary FLES and dual language students who are currently in grades K-5.

D41 Alum and Olympian Ethan Cepuran Pays A Visit to Hadley

2022 Olympic Bronze Medalist Ethan Cepuran spoke to Hadley students, visited classrooms and caught up with Hadley staff this week. Thank you once again to Ethan and his family for their time and generosity. Congratulations and good luck in your future Olympic pursuits, Ethan!

The District 41 COVID Dashboard is a way for the public to monitor both the number of positive covid cases reported for students and staff. The dashboard will be updated every Monday by the end of the day.
