Girls 2nd - Middle School
February 9, March 9th, May 11th, June 8
Please forward this to your parents about this great opportunity for girls from 2nd grade to middle school. There is no charge for the program. Parents can email info@miravenhill.org or call 231.536.3369 to register their girls.
The next session is Saturday, February 9th, from 10:30am to noon at Raven Hill. Beth Patterson from Circuit Controls is scheduled to present. The girls will be building and testing cranes!
On Saturday, March 9th, from 10:30am to noon at Raven Hill, Molli Andor, who works as a Powertrain Manufacturing Engineer, specializing in Engine Assembly Systems process and tooling design for Ford Motor Company. She will work with the girls on a Lego Vehicle Assembly Challenge.
There is no session scheduled for April, but on Saturday, May 11th, from 10:30am to noon at Raven Hill, the girls will become environmental engineers and collect macroinvertebrates in Deer Creek, so it will be “waders on” for May!
And on Saturday, June 8th, at Raven Hill, at 10:30am all participants and their families are invited to the SAG Awards at Raven Hill , where the girls will be honored for their participation in SAG. There will be refreshments and everyone will have time to enjoy the museum after the ceremony.
The sessions are meant to be hands-on and lots of fun, as girls explore a variety of engineering careers. If you have any questions or need more information, please free to call or email.
