Fronteras Spanish Immersion Charter School
Minutos de Mrs. Hutchins
Immersion Education – Teaching academic content in another language
Hello Fronteras Families!
Thank you once again to the Mason family for snow blowing and plowing our sidewalk, drifts, and doorways again! Your time is greatly appreciated!
Quick reminder, for safety purposes, please do not pass forgotten items to your child(ren) over the fence during recess. All items must come to the front office. We will make sure items are delivered. Thank you for understanding.
I want to share a great school-to-home suggestion that a parent made last week. Each class that your child attends has a guiding Social Contract. In addition to asking your child how their day was each afternoon, ask how they did following the Social Contracts. Ask which behaviors they demonstrated well, and which behaviors they could improve on. I love suggestions like this! If you have an idea of how we can support connecting school to home, please share!
A GIANT Thank You to all of our Knights in Shining Armor Fronteras dads who have been busy rescuing the folks who have gone in the ditch in the mornings. Your selfless acts of kindness are amazing and very very appreciated!
Thank you to Mrs. Bridgman for continuing to lead our Subway lunch delivery each Wednesday! We appreciate your dedication and willingness to support this lunch option.
Congratulations to our English Spelling Bee winners! We are so proud of all 24 contestants who took on the challenge and Studied! Studied! Studied!

Special Alaska Aces Announcement
Dear Fronteras Families and Friends,
If you are not aware yet, our beloved Alaska Aces will no longer be our Alaska hockey team after this season. This is so unfortunate for those of us who love this sport. However, this end of an era does not affect our school’s March 26th event. We still have the goal of selling 167 tickets. We will still skate with the Aces after the game and take a group photo on center ice.
Fronteras parent and event organizer, Mr. Brenton, is working on adjusting our reward for reaching our sales goal. If you have not already purchased your ticket(s), please think about supporting Fronteras and the Alaska Aces. Please join us and watch the Aces play one of their final home games on Anchorage ice.
