Distance Learning- Phase 2- Week 2
Hi Kutz Families,
I hope you had a nice spring break. Thank you for a great first week of distance learning phase 2! The grit and determination the students (and parents) showed is awesome. The support and positive feedback the teachers and I have received is wonderful, as well. I know we are all doing our best given the circumstances and I really appreciate how understanding and supportive the Kutz community has been.
This week specials will begin. Your child will do their special on their usual day, as if they were in school. Work for special classes is mandatory, too.
I encourage your family to participate in the school’s daily Flip Grids- (This is a link for the week, but you will have to find the correct topic for each day- https://flipgrid.com/adelberger6018 OR the topics are linked directly below. The password is Kutz2020.) To access Flip Grid, your child can either use the link above or below or login through My Apps and/or Clever. If they are accessing it through Clever or My Apps, they can just type the flip grid code of “adelberger6018”. The code is always what comes after the backslash.
- Together Tuesday- Share something you did together with your family over spring break. (https://flipgrid.com/3ca86a68)
- Wacky Wednesday- Wear a funny hat or silly socks! (https://flipgrid.com/39da5c51)
- Throw Back Thursday- Guess the staff member in the focus picture. (https://flipgrid.com/3374a661)
- Favorite Food Friday- Tell us your favorite food. (https://flipgrid.com/5af8af5f)
Remember, lunches for families in need will be served two days this week from the Kutz parking lot. They will be served Monday and Thursday from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
Continue to send pictures to me at cadelberger@cbsd.org.
Again, thank you for your continued support! Please let me know if you have any questions.
Regards,
Christina Adelberger
Order Your Yearbook Before 4/14!
Dear Kutz Families,
This year has definitely been one to remember. The yearbook committee is putting the final touches on the 2019-2020 Kutz yearbook, and it looks amazing! In addition to the usual class parties, spirit days and special events, this year's yearbook features special coverage of distance learning, the COVID 19 pandemic and other current events. Don't let your children's memories slip away -- order your yearbook today!
Due to current social distancing restrictions, yearbook sales will be changed as follows: The previously advertised price increase will not happen. Yearbooks can be ordered online for $16 per book until April 14. To order your yearbook, go to https://www.memorybook.com/online-pay/parent-pay/. Enter Kutz Elementary's school code 107893, then click "Go to your school account log in." Create an account or log in, and continue to follow the prompts to add your student(s), order your yearbook(s) and submit payment. Each year when yearbooks are distributed, we have requests from students to purchase copies.
Please know that April 14 is a FIRM deadline to order your yearbook. Extra yearbooks WILL NOT be ordered, and therefore NO yearbooks will be sold through the Kutz office when school reopens. To guarantee that your child will receive a yearbook, you MUST order in advance. If you have any questions, contact Sandy Hogenauer at shogenauer@gmail.com.
Also, congratulations to 6th grader Sante Esposito! Sante's artwork was chosen for this year's yearbook cover. A picture of his artwork is attached!
Sincerely,
Kutz Yearbook Committee
