Welcome to Back to School!
We hope you and your family had a restful and safe summer! It is time for back to school! We have a great year planned for your child and we cannot wait to see them!
Our doors will open at 7 am each morning to begin receiving students. Breakfast is served from 7-7:25 a.m. each morning.
It is important that your child arrives on time to school each day. Our instruction begins at 7:35 a.m. The end of our instructional day is at 3:15 p.m.
We look forward to a safe and productive school year for your child! Should you ever have questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us at the school. We will be glad to help!

Dress Code 2022-2023
Standardized Dress Code Policy: Acceptable attire includes the following:
Slacks, shorts, capris, skirts, skorts, and jumpers (no denim or sweatsuit material)
Belts must be worn when applicable.
Colors: Navy, Black, Khaki
Shirts or blouses (no logos – shirts must have a collar and be tucked in)
Colors: Any solid color
Sam Houston will have SPIRIT dress on Mondays and Fridays.
On College Mondays students can wear a College or Educational shirt.
Spirit dress will be Sam Houston shirt, any uniform shirt and blue denim jeans/shorts.
All backpacks must be clear or mesh.
Message from our School Nurse, Mrs. Cortez
We want to introduce you to our new school nurse, Mrs. Jessica Cortez. She is excited to join our Sam Houston community. She looks forward to working with our families and school community for a safe and healthy school year.
Back to school message from our nurse: Please help your child maintain a routine that will enhance his/her learning. Elementary students need 10-12 hours of sleep, good healthy nutritious meals, plenty of water and physical activity.
Message from Ms. McCabe, Counselor
Our character education theme of the month is citizenship. Students will learn the importance of following the rules.
