iMiddle Parent and Community News
iMiddle news for the week of 3/16- 3/20
Message from Principal Labas
Greetings Parents & Community Members,
I want to thank all the families and students of iMiddle for raising almost $3000 on our annual Move-a-thon. The money raised by the foundation will go directly to support student events and activities on campus.
We are finalizing elective choices in the next two weeks. Please ask your child for their elective form. This was sent home for parents to sign. If you have questions about this, you can contact the Vice Principal at email@example.com.
Please ask you child about their grades and sign their progress report this week. These reports are due back to 6th period on Monday. Those who have good grades and citizenship need their report to enter the iParty on Wednesday. Grades may have changed so it's always a good idea to have your child show you their grades twice a week. Students who do not turn in work on time may not be able to turn late work in past the deadline.
Spring Break is coming up. School will be closed On Monday March 30th and will re-open on April 6th.
Have a great week!

We broadcast this news to the students every week during Advisory on Monday; our communication day. The students create the video using green screen technology in our video studio and edit the video every week.
Announcements & Reminders for This Week
The initial application period for PrimeTime for the 2015-16 school year is March 2-May 1, 2015. iMiddle has a PrimeTime after school program only.
The PrimeTime Extended Day Program, provides elementary and middle school students with a fun and engaging learning environment during the hours most parents/guardians are working. Parents/guardians can feel comfortable knowing their children are not only receiving professional academic support, but are also interacting with peers in a physically and emotionally safe environment.
It is anticipated that the demand for PrimeTime services will exceed the program capacity at most schools; therefore, it is highly encouraged that an application be submitted during the initial application period to receive highest priority. Submitting an application does not guarantee participation in PrimeTime.

Families who are applying for enrollment at multiple schools under the school choice application should submit a 2015-16 PrimeTime Application for each school listed on the choice application and for the school of residence.
For additional information or questions regarding the PrimeTime Program contact the Extended Learning Opportunities Department at 858-503-1870.
Zero Period Next Year: Are you interested in a zero period for your child next year? We are offering Spanish and Band electives for students who want to take other electives throughout the day. These classes will begin at 7:00 AM- before school starts. Your child will be bringing home their elective form soon. Please select this option if you are interested in this; space is limited.
After School Support: In effort to support students with homework and interventions, iMiddle has an extended the school day until 4:00 PM. Students will be recommended to stay after school if they need additional support in any of their Core subjects. Students who wish to have a quiet place to do homework or just study are also welcome after school in the Library from 3:00 - 4:00 PM on Monday, Tuesday, Thursdays and Friday. If your child is being recommended and you do not want your child to have additional support and mentoring, please contact the Principal at firstname.lastname@example.org.
