Sharing the Experience- School News and Happenings!

In an effort to reach more families and provide the richness of the learning experience that is captured in photographs and videos we are introducing this media format. Please call the school (978) 249-2405 or send Principal Ellis an email at if you would like to offer your feedback or suggestions on our Smore newsletter.

Winter's Last Gasp?!

As students have started spring sports schedules and are busy enjoying baseball, softball, soccer, and track this morning's snow was a sad sight for some of us to see. Let's hope it melts quickly and we can play ball.

Toy Bingo- Family Fun at Pleasant Street

We had a nice turn out for a night of toy bingo on April 11th. Special thanks to our PTO for putting on this event and to our dynamic brothers- Cooper and Hunter who helped out by seling snacks.

Teaching social skills and our school expectations for respect.

This week a letter went home about some changes we have made at recess and about "re-teaching" our all school expectations for respect across school settings. Please make sure you take time to review this with your child. Our school is a place for learning, having fun, and making friends. We do not accept disrespectful or hurtful behavior.

Meet Challenges and Achieve Success!

All fourth graders who participated in the MCAS home writing challenge efforts were recently recognized through an ice cream sundae party. The most popular flavor chosen was cookie dough and sprinkles and whipped cream were the most popular toppings.

Boxtops for Education...... Please help us reach our goal of raising $2200.

Box Tops for Education at Pleasant Street School

Box Tops for Education coupons are found on many products and are worth 10¢ each when our school redeems them. Bonus certificates are worth even more. Together, they really add up! Last year we raised $2075 for Pleasant Street School.

Money earned through Box Tops for Education goes toward the purchase of classroom supplies, playground upkeep, field trips and in-school programs that benefit all students.

It is easy to support Pleasant Street School:

1. Look for Box Tops coupons and certificates on products you purchase and ask family and friends to save them for you.

2. Collect Box Tops coupons and certificates in a baggie or envelope clearly labeled with your child's first and last name and teacher's name. No need to trim them, but if you do please cut along the dotted lines to make sure that expiration dates and product codes are intact. Expired or badly damaged Box Tops cannot be counted.

3. Send them to school on a regular basis to be handed in to your child's teacher.

Our goal for the 2013-14 school year is to raise $2200. When our school reaches this goal, every student who has participated by bringing in Box Tops will receive a prize!

No submission is too small -- every Box Top counts!
