We are almost at the finish line

Dear SOM students, parents, and staff,

We have reached the last two weeks of school. Our students have made gains because of the love and support from family members, help and guidance from our SOM teachers and staff, and the hard work and dedication our students have given to their learning. Our 8th graders will be taking their finals this week on Tuesday, May 25th, Wednesday, May 26th, and on Thursday, May 27th. All of our students will be on a minimum day schedule. 8th graders will have a virtual promotion practice and will watch the 8th grade virtual award's presentation on Friday, May 28th, will be returning iPads and textbooks on June 1st, and will be participating in promotion on June 2nd. Our seventh graders are standing taller and are getting ready for eighth grade. They are reading, writing, computing, analyzing and applying the skills they have learned throughout the year. They will be taking their finals starting on Friday, May 28th through June 2nd.

Let us finish strong! School is not over yet. Our teachers will continue to provide highly engaged lessons, positive student to student interactions, and high interest activities these last two weeks. It is imperative that all of our students show up to in-person or virtual class.

We have two busy weeks ahead; let us finish this academic year on a high note!

Buccaneer Scholars, let us finish strong. You got this!

Your principal,

Julissa Gracias
