March 25, 2020 - Volume 2
IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOUR CHILD(REN) GET THESE MATERIALS. PLEASE MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO PICK THEM UP ON THURSDAY, MARCH 26.
Important Information
The Roosevelt staff has been working hard to prepare materials for distance learning, which will begin on Tuesday, March 31. The materials we have assembled will be distributed beginning tomorrow, Thursday, March 26.
Here's the link to the plan that was shared this morning (nothing has changed).
A few other things to note:
~ Library Books: Please have your child hold on to the current library books they have checked out if they are reading them, if they wish to reread them, if they want to share them with a sibling or parent, etc. If you wish to turn them in, we will have big bins near the pick up area for you to return Roosevelt library books. We are going to put the returned books in a "Book Quarantine" (no, we won't be throwing them away). At some point in the future, we will clean and reshelf them. You do NOT have to return library books now, but we wanted to give families the option of returning them if they so chose.
~ Medications: If your child has any medications still at Roosevelt, those will be ready for pick up tomorrow with the other materials.
Thank you for helping us make this happen!
Miss you all,
Ann

Frequently Asked Questions
Are we doing online learning?
We MAY go to online learning if we are able to ensure that all students have access to the material. This would be no sooner than after the 15 days of lessons have been completed.
If we are unable to come and get the materials, how will they be distributed?
Once we have an understanding of how many families were unable to come in, we will be able to create a plan for distribution.
When should my student start working on their learning materials?
Students should begin working/learning on Tuesday, March 31 since that is when our school calendar had us back in session.
Does this mean that the school cancellation will continue?
We want to get these materials to students in case the closure is extended and in case there are additional measures taken in response to COVID-19.
