Hi Everyone,
We wanted to provide an update about staffing changes for next year.
Due to the fact that we will only have three first grade classes for the 2020-21 school, we will need to move one first grader teacher to second grade. After thoughtful consideration, Jaymie Savill will be moving to second grade.
Sadly, Jen Randall, one of our amazing teachers in the ASD program, will be leaving us at the end of the school year. She is moving to Colorado. It will be a huge loss for our program for students with autism, as well as the rest of the school. We will all miss her, but look forward to keeping in touch. In the fall, Shauna Murphy will be joining the ASD team. She comes to us from Natick Public Schools with experience working with students with Autism. Shauna has a Master’s degree in education with a focus on special education and ABA from Endicott College. In the interview process, she stood out for expressing a strong passion for working with students as well as the importance of being a team player.
Additionally, Sara Brazell is expecting a new baby so she will be taking maternity leave in the fall. She is expecting to start off the school year and then take off when the baby arrives. We are in the process of finding a long term substitute to work with the third grade team during Sara's maternity leave. We are all very excited for Sara!
As always, our virtual door is open for any question.
