FWISD Shout Outs

Carter-Riverside HS

From Coach Carmona:

In the world of what a coincidence moment, we had just covered with our student/athletes what do in an emergency during practice or a game. We did a scenario of what do and who to call in case of an injury or incident.

While talking to Coach Phillips, she noticed someone fall right outside their home across our practice field. 4 students from Riverside MS (Sejio Perez, Angel Gutierrez, Emmanuel Osorio, and Ramon Gonzalez walking on the sidewalk immediately went to render assistance to the older gentleman who fell. A parent of student/athlete (Yenixa Fraga) driving by also stopped to help. The girls from practice ran to get my keys to help. Bryan Rios who is a CRHS student athletic trainer, stayed at his house while we call the paramedics.

The 90-year-old gentleman was checked by the paramedics and seemed to be okay. This shows how amazing our kids are here at Riverside community. The future of Riverside will be in good hands with our youth.
