7th Grade Science Happenings!
Weekly reports on learning in 7th Grade Science!
Scientific Message!
7th grade scientists became experts at the microscope this week! We started our week off by learning the parts, what they do and where they are located. Next, we moved onto HOW to use the microscope by practicing slide making, looking at prepared slides under the microscope, and completing a virtual lab using Gizmos. We took at quiz on Friday to make sure we were on track for our end of unit test next Tuesday (12/18). We will end our quarter by completing a few STEM challenges and making Ugly Science Sweaters. For detailed listings of class happenings each day, check out my Canvas Page or our class Weebly Site.
*****If your child is in STEM and they mention glue --it is because we are running thru it quite quickly and need to replenish the cupboards. If you feel led to share -- we will accept any and all donations of white glue. Thanks in advance!

A: the best place to find course specific information is Canvas. Each day I place an agenda on the calendar (date, Science Agenda is the format for listing on the calendar). Every link, file, and set of instructions are located on the calendar.
Do you have nightly homework?
A: Science is not a subject that you should expect to see nightly homework. Students have much in-class time to work on assignments, especially for our Interactive Science Notebook pages so you should NOT see nightly homework. Students will expect to complete assignments at home if they do not use their time wisely in class and some additional time may be required on projects and larger assignments.
Do you have a textbook?
A: No, we do not have a textbook. Resources are rolled out to students as needed -- and will always be located on Canvas, either the calendar, announcements or under assignments. We use our Interactive Science Notebooks (ISN) as a textbook and you should expect to see those when students need to study for quizzes/tests for science.
