Winter OAAP Testing Rosters

The 2015-2016 Oklahoma Alternate Assessment Program (OAAP) will utilize two different assessment systems. Social Studies will be assessed through the Pearson Portfolio system. The subject areas of Math, English/Language Arts and Science will be assessed through the Dynamic Learning Maps (DLM) Alternate Assessment System.

WINTER (DLM) December 3, 2015 to January 8, 2016-ELA and Math

WINTER (Pearson Portfolio) November 16, 2015 to January 8, 2016- U.S. History

Please note, only 2nd time test takers and high school seniors are allowed to test during the winter window. The winter window is only available for EOI subjects in ELA, Math and U.S. History.

In order to set up testing for students needing to test during the winter EOI OAAP window, please complete the student roster, submitting one roster per school site. Include the following information:

  • Subject (English 2, English 3, Geometry, Algebra I, Algebra II, or US History)
  • School Name
  • State Student ID
  • TPS Student ID
  • Student First and Last Name
  • Roster teacher information, including the teacher’s certification number

Please email Erin or Becky if you need the Excel template to create the roster for your school.

All rosters for winter OAAP testing must be submitted to Becky Baker, bakerre@tulsaschools.org using the Excel template by November 11th.

MP Portal is Open!

You may add or remove students from test sessions on the Measured Progress Portal for winter retest.

If you need students transferred, please email Erin and Becky with the student's name, state testing number, and school/district in which they transferred. We will have students moved within 24 hours, if not sooner.

I know many of you will be busy with ACT Aspire testing, however, Becky and I will be available the week of Nov. 9-13 to help you with any questions, including how to add students or create test sessions. Please make sure you refer to the Portal User Guide and are familiar with the contents.

If you are not able to make it to the Enrollment Center during the week, Erin can meet you on Saturday morning! Please email Erin and she'll make arrangements to make it happen!

******OCCT/EOI Trainings-REQUIRED*******

The listing of required trainings for Building Test Coordinators who will be administering the OCCT/EOI tests any time during 2015-16 is posted on the PD360 group. You must attend a webinar or in-person training in order for your site to participate in state required testing this year.

After you have attended a training, you will receive a certificate from the SDE. Please mail or email a copy of your participation certificate once you have completed the training to Erin.

We will have a refresher training in the Spring prior to state testing in April.

Spring 2015 DLM Student Scores

Computer Support on Windows XP

As a reminder, no testing is supported on Windows XP computers. XP is no longer a supported system within TPS. Please make sure testing labs have Windows 7 or higher loaded. Some of your computers at your site may meet the requirements for loading Windows 7, however, this does cost approximately $51 per computer.

Alternative 8th Grade Reading Test Opportunity

We will be offering an alternative test for students needing a passing score on the 8th grade OCCT reading test for their driver's license on Thursday, November 19 at 1:30pm in the Enrollment Center Computer Lab. Students must be at least 15.5 years old and not have an alternative 'passing' reading score. For a list of approved alternative scores, please click here. Students will have one free testing opportunity and after that the cost is $25 per test.

Students must be signed up in advance and bring a photo ID (school IDs are acceptable) and contact Becky no later than Tuesday, Nov. 17 (Becky will be out on Wednesday, so please let her know by Tuesday).

DLM Resources

**Please share this information with your SPED teachers administering the OAAP assessments**

The Dynamic Learning Maps Resource page has several useful tools for educators. This includes:

  • Familiar texts used on the assessment, by grade level, avalable for classroom instruction.
  • A comprehensive list of materials often used in assessing ELA and Math testlets, arranged by grade level.
  • Videos to walk teachers through an ELA, Writing, or Math assessment, demonstrating how to administer the testlet.

DLM Teacher Training Certification

Once your Special Education teachers who will be administering the DLM OAAP tests have completed their DLM training, please have them forward a copy of their training certificate to Becky.
