What are Blood Diamonds?
Blood diamonds are used to fuel conflict and human rights abuse. In addition to Angola, diamonds have funded brutal wars in Liberia, Sierra Leone, Democratic Republic of Congo and Côte d'Ivoire that have resulted in the death and displacement of millions of people. Many of the mines are in Sierra Leone which produces 4% of the worlds diamonds. There has been intense fighting and writing over position of the diamonds.
Conflict or Blood Diamonds are illegally traded to fund conflict in central and western Africa. At the height of the civil war in Sierra Leone, it is estimated that conflict diamonds represented approximately four percent of the world's diamond production.
Apart from the innocent people caught up in the conflicts, thousands of people, including women and children in countries such as Sierra Leone are used as slaves to extract diamonds. They are forced to use dig into mud or gravel along river banks with their bare hands. The collected material is then separated using hand-held sieves.

A worker holds a few.
Straniers are used to help find the cursed things.
The slaves go and take big plates out into the river in hopes of getting a pile of mud with the diamonds. Selling them is a high way of getting money fast.
Getting fisty over the treasure
Most of the time if you make a find you tell the people around you. Most of the time someone will try and rob you from your find. And fights will go down
HELP!! Or not. You better.
Help suport this foundation that is trying to calm the fighting over these diamonds. Thousands of Africans are forced to work and extract the diamonds from rivers to fund the war. Their working conditions are killing them. So please help us stop the abuse and potential loss of human lives.
