Celebrating 10 Years of Tiger Traditions

Tuscany Heights Elementary

Tuscany Heights is the 168th Lighthouse School in the Nation as recognized by Stephen Covey. Through student leadership, we grow leaders that encompass a growth mindset and establish lifelong skills that will support our students as they grow into adults. Our mission is a living action statement that we use to guide Team Tuscany, as we do great things for all.

"We, THE Tigers, will be inspired to LEAD, HONOR, and EXCEL today!"

Also this month, Mrs. Alvarez is hosting some parent morning sessions. We are also gathering feedback using a survey on our webpage to plan for November afternoon sessions, https://www.neisd.net/tuscanyheights/family. Please share your feedback so that we can properly serve you all.

We wanted to share a district deadline: free and reduced lunches will end/expire October 1st unless families have reapplied by October 1st for the 2019-2020 school year.

Raising Awareness Around Anxiety

Please join the Reagan Cluster on Tuesday, October 1 at 6:30 in the Reagan High School auditorium in viewing an Original documentary that explores anxiety—its causes, effects, and what we can do about it. The film features World Champion Swimmer Michael Phelps and interviews young kids and adults who suffer from anxiety. We welcome the community to join us and talk about this important issue, as well as learn about resources and tools that can help.

This is an effort to bring all schools that feed into Reagan together to understand how we can continue to understand students of all ages. This documentary is for parents with students of all ages.

There will be booths set up at 6pm in the auditorium as resources for parents before the video starts.

Bike Rodeo

T.H.E. PTA Presents…

Bike Rodeo

Friday October 4, 2019, from 8:00-11:30 am

It’s time to get your bikes ready and start practicing!

The Bike Rodeo is a fun bicycle safety and agility competition.

Trophies will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place boy and girl winners of each grade level. First place trophies will also be awarded to one boy and girl in the training wheels category. All trophies will be given on the afternoon of Oct. 4th. The boy and girl winners from each grade level will receive an official invitation to the city wide Bike Rodeo in the spring.

Pre-K: We invite all preschool students to bring tricycles or bikes with training wheels as a chance to learn and practice for later years. This is also just a great chance for your student to watch and learn from the big kids!

  • Bike drop-off will be available from 4-6pm on Thursday evening (October 3rd) and on Friday morning, October 4th, from 7-7:45am. All bikes should be taken to Gym #1 in the back of the school.

  • All bikes must be picked up by FRIDAY afternoon. You may also pick up your child’s bike after they participate in the Bike Rodeo.

  • Please label all bikes and helmets with your child’s name, grade and teacher.

  • All Bike Rodeo spectators and volunteers will need to park in the visitor parking lot and check in through the front office to obtain a Visitor Badge.

  • All volunteers’ names will be given to the front office.

  • There is not an exact time for each grade level to participate in the Bike Rodeo. We will start with 5th grade, then proceed to Kindergarten through 4th and then end with pre-k. You can guarantee that you will see your child participate by volunteering to help out!

Parents, come join in the fun!

Volunteers (DPS cleared) are needed to help our Bike Rodeo run smoothly!

There are several shifts that you can volunteer to work.
