Playground Blacktop Painted!

CJ, a sophomore a Central Bucks East, selected the Warwick playground blacktop area as the focal point of his Boy Scout Eagle Project. After coordinating with Mr. Robert Kleimenhagen, Jr., Director of CBSD Facilities, and our Principal, Mrs. Leatherbarrow, CJ planned, arranged, and lead a crew of volunteers from BSA Troops 262 and 256. They painted the basketball courts and four square areas in our school's colors--maroon and white. He hopes that these areas bring our students "hours and hours of recess fun!"

CJ would like to thank the BSA Troops 262 and 256 and all of the other volunteers that helped with the completion of this project. He extends special thanks to Lewis Paint in Hatboro for their genorosity, kindness, expertise and counsel.

The Warwick Elementary School Community thanks you, CJ!

6th Grade Camp Adventure Day 2

This week our 6th graders returned to Camp Adventure to continue their learning and fun! They challenged themselves and supported each other as they tried the high ropes course. Many students achieved challenges that they did not think they could. Stepping outside their comfort zone while supporting each other--big lessons that will set the tone for a positive learning community within the 6th grade class.

We thank Mrs. Taggart and the 6th Grade Teachers for making the arrangements for this incredible experience for our 6th graders. We also thank our PTO for helping subsidize the cost. Thank you Camp Adventure for providing a safe and challenging experience. And thank you, 6th graders, for making us all so very Warwick Proud!

The background of this newsletter is the collective artwork of our students who were inspired to "just make a mark and see where it takes you" after the Warwick Art Teachers read to them Peter H. Reynolds' The Dot. And look at the beauty that our students discovered and shared.
Note: Parents/Guardians who do not wish to have their students' images shared on social media (i.e., newsletters, Twitter and Facebook) should indicate so on the Student Emergency & Information form found on the Parent Portal.
