Market Outlook 2013 // Q&A Part 3: How will U.S. oil & gas affect Canadian oil exports to America?

Paragraph Summary:

The country of Canada is a Constitutional Monarchy with a population of 35.16 million people. The Canadian dollar is weaker than both the U.S. dollar and the European Euro. Canada's largest export is oil, of which accounts for almost 20% of all of Canada's exports and Canada's largest import is vehicles, of which accounts for almost 20% of all of Canada's imports.

Pros and Cons of Trading With Canada:

Pros: Canada's largest export is oil. Oil is vital to the functioning of a majority of all countries and is used by almost everyone. Canada's largest import is vehicles, therefore it is beneficial to trade with Canada because they will buy your countries vehicles.

Cons: Oil is extremely susceptible to change in price. Prioritizing trade with Canada over other international superpowers would create international tensions that could result in trade sanctions.
