Jacqueline and Zoe
HOW IS NUCLEAR ENERGY FORMED AND USED?
Nuclear energy is formed by a nuclear-fueled power plant or a fossil fuel power plant. Water is turned into steam, which drives turbine generators to provide electricity. Nuclear energy is used by providing electricity for our homes, offices, and factories. Nuclear energy is nonrenewable because the material most often used in nuclear power plants is the element uranium. Although uranium is found in rocks all over the world, nuclear power plants usually use a very rare type of uranium.
WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES OF NUCLEAR ENERGY?
There are very few advantages of nuclear energy but the few advantages are that nuclear energy powers homes, offices, buildings, etc. Also the cost is an advantage because the cost is just 2.40 or kilowatt.
NUCLEAR ENERGY IS DANGEROUS!!!
WHAT ARE THE DISADVANTAGES OF NUCLEAR ENERGY?
Nuclear energy is a nonrenewable energy source. If an accident happens, large amounts of radioactive material could be released into the environment. Also radioactive waste is hazardous to our health.
WHERE IS NUCLEAR ENERGY FOUND MOST ABUNDANTLY?
Nuclear energy factories are all over the world and there are so many nuclear energy factories, that there are over 400 factories. Many countries have more than one nuclear energy factory.
