Fulton Focus
For the parents and patrons of the Fulton School District
July 10, 2020
A message from the Superintendent
While we are definitely in unprecedented times, I do hope that students and families are finding ways to enjoy the summer. As we move toward the start of school on August 26, we will continue to share additional information. I want to thank the Fulton community and the Board of Education for the opportunity to serve as Superintendent. While there are many unknowns in today’s world, I am confident as a community we will continue to move forward to do what is best for students.
It's a great day to be a Hornet!

FPS has established two task forces that have been preparing for the 2020-2021 school
year addressing instructional and health/safety protocols. The health and safety of our students and staff are of the utmost importance. FPS will be following the recommendations of our state and local health departments and you may rest assured we will operate in a way that is safest for everyone. As FPS plans for re-entry this fall and distance learning (if required by a closure) your feedback regarding what is important to you today is vital to our task forces.
Here are some things we know NOW!
FPS is planning for full-day in-person classes starting on August 26th. More details will be provided in a couple of weeks as we work through the recommendations from our task forces, staff, and parents.
Virtual instruction will be an option for parents if they choose not to have their students return to in-person classes. It will likely be provided through Launch which was utilized during summer school. However, each family will need to complete the online registration as they will be FPS students. You do NOT have to decide on virtual or in-person classes today. More information about virtual instruction will be shared at a later date.
Again, as we continue these discussions, we want to consider safety, social-emotional health, as well as instructional protocols. We know that stress related to the pandemic is present, and value your honesty as you take this survey. Your insights will be helpful as we continue to plan for the 2020-2021 school year.
Please complete this survey by Thursday, July 15, 2020. Thank you in advance for your time and input!
