Last Day Of School

As we approach the end of the current school year, please be reminded the last day of school for WMS students is Tuesday, May 24, 2022. We will dismiss at 12:30.


Breakfast and lunch will be served. Regular bussing transportation will take place prior to and after school.

Summer Office Hours

June 3 - July 17 Closed

July 18 - Office reopens Mon - Thurs 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Aug 1 - Office resumes regular hours; Mon - Fri 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Summer Chromebook Repair

Over the summer, middle and high school students with a broken Chromebook can bring it to the board office to be fixed. As we have other summer projects to work on, the repairs will take some time. Drop-off time will be Monday - Thursday, 8 AM - 3 PM.

PowerSchool Needed For Enrollment

If you have not set up your parent portal in PowerSchool, please do so soon! POWERSCHOOL ACCESS WILL BE NEEDED FOR ENROLLMENT THIS SUMMER! You will need an access code and a desktop/laptop computer. The initial set up will not work on a mobile device.

WMS Boys Basketball Camp Details

Wheatridge Boys Basketball Camp (Grades 6-8) - Summer 2022


The WMS boys basketball camp will focus on individual and team skill development through drills, games, and scrimmages. Prizes will be given out for winning competitions and games throughout the week.

Thinking of Playing Sports Next Year? Get Your Physical Done!

STUDENTS WHO WISH TO PARTICIPATE IN ACTIVITIES AND ATHLETICS AT WHEATRIDGE MIDDLE SCHOOL MUST:

  • Meet all eligibility requirements of the Kansas State High School Activities Association (KSHSAA).
  • Have a current physical and insurance waiver on file with the WMS Athletic Office. Note: physicals for the upcoming school year should be obtained after May 1 of the current year (i.e., your physical for the 2022-2023 school year must have been obtained after May 1, 2022.)
  • Concussion form signed by athlete and parent
  • Insurance Waiver form completed.

Moving This Summer?

Are you moving out of the WMS boundary this summer? Please let us know by entering your information on the link provided so we can more accurately plan for next school year. Please let us know if you will be in a different Gardner school boundary or if you will be in a new city/state.

Outstanding Balances Due

Please settle all outstanding balances before the end of the 2021-2022 school year. Contact your child's building if you have any questions about fees still owed.

Stickers Not Allowed on Chromebooks

Just a reminder that the official policy is that stickers are NOT ALLOWED on Chromebooks. We have received several chromebooks back from the tech office lately that have charges applied because of stickers.

**REMINDER to 8th graders: When you check your Chromebooks in at the end of the year, this policy will apply. You will be charged for damages for any piece that has a sticker on it.

Instructions for setting up MySchoolBucks:


  • If you have not yet linked your PowerSchool parent account to MySchool Bucks, this one-time step (click here) must be completed before you can see account balances or purchase information. (IMPORTANT: This initial step must be completed from a laptop or desktop computer.)
  • If you do not have access to a laptop or desktop device, you may download the free MySchoolBucks parent mobile app to your device to view this information. (Payments are not available through the PowerSchool mobile app at this time.)
  • To set up your account outside of the PowerSchool parent portal, you will need to manually add your students to your account (you only need to enter their full name, school, and birthdate - no need to ask us for a code).
  • Grandparents or other family members can also utilize the MySchoolBucks app or website to add funds via credit or debit card to your student's account should you wish to use this option by using the same identifying information (name, school, birthdate).
