Thomas Students Celebrate Spirit Week This Week!
Our Thomas Sunshine (Social) Committee Chair, Ms. Amy Gearheart, is full of brilliant ideas which spread joy throughout the building! Participation is optional. If you would like to join in the fun, check out ideas for the week below. She has shared this with each class. As your children are able and would like to join in, please do! Happy Holidays!
With that said, Thomas Elementary along with the other 13 Dublin City Elementary Schools continue to follow the below protocol for safe parties. We appreciate your patience with this approach. Thank you for your support of our winter party celebration!
Party guidelines:
- We will allow one to two volunteers (who have been background checked) per classroom into the building to orchestrate the party. Parties will be very similar across classrooms and grade levels with a craft, activity, and/or game.
Volunteers will wear masks.
Food will not be consumed at the parties. Goody bags may be sent home, depending on the planning done by room parents. Food will be selected according to reported allergies in the classroom.
Thank you for your patience and understanding:-)
Bundle Up!
The weather has fluctuated over the past few weeks. Thank you, families, for sending your children dressed to play outside! We will have up to 30 minutes of recess daily as long as the temperature is above 25 degrees. The wind chill is taken into account as well. Students should be ready for all types of weather, knowing we are in Ohio:-)
If it is muddy or snowy on the mulch and/or field, we will have black top only recess. Decreasing the amount of water, ice, and mud students track in decreases slips and falls while walking back into the building. With cold, wet, or muddy days, boots may be a great choice to consider.
Thank you for thinking about the weather prior to sending your kiddos to school each day!
