Principal Update
December 2, 2022
Principal's Message
Dear Families,
We are down to the last 12 days of the semester but we still have a lot of instruction to complete. Please continue to encourage your child to get all of their assignments turned in before the end of the quarter. We will also be implementing an academic assistance day this month for those needing the extra time and support.
On December 20th, we will be following a different schedule for the morning in order to get all class periods completed and then use the afternoon for academic intervention. Students with missing assignments and/or failing grades will go to the library to complete their work and receive academic assistance.
Students who have met the required goals for the end of quarter will be participating in a Reward Day and will be rotating into classrooms for activities. As the rest of the students meet their goals for the day they will be allowed to join in the activities. Students will be given the opportunity to choose their activity next week.
Please read the rest of the newsletter for upcoming events and important information and as always, please contact the office if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Cindy Holdinghausen
Middle School Principal

On Saturday, November 5, the All-District Middle School Honor Band performed a concert at Sullivan High School. The band was under the direction of Dr. Jocelyn Pendergrast, Director of Bands at Truman State University. The students rehearsed all day with Dr. Pendergrast and presented a concert later that evening in front of a packed house. Congratulations to Olivia Sikes, Cameron Wideman, and Reese White for auditioning and making the band!

Inclement Weather Days
This year we have several families that we will be providing assistance for this holiday season. STUCO and NJHS will be doing Change Drives in the mornings during drop-offs and at home games. Any assistance you are able to provide is greatly appreciated!
We would also like to say Thank You to everyone who donated canned food items. We were able to donate over 2000 cans to the Elks for food baskets!
