The month of November brought time for us to talk about family and friends. We talked about who is in our family and read stories about different families and what they do together.
We were happy to have our generous families bring in yummy food for us to enjoy with our friends for our feast.
We talked about things that go along with the season: Colder days, football, turkeys, Indian corn and what food we might eat at Thanksgiving. We enjoyed many art projects to go along with our discussions and stories.
We learned about the color brown and shape of a square. We continue to reinforce other colors and shapes daily while enjoying circle time songs, finger plays and flannel board stories.
We sorted leaves by color, matched fall shapes and scooped fall color pompoms during our work time.
The weather was beautiful this month and we enjoyed lots of time outdoors exploring nature and continuing to notice the harvest changes.
We celebrated Enzo and Lucas’s birthdays this month and we all enjoyed singing to them.
Thank you to all of our parents for taking time to attend our conferences to learn about what your children are learning each day and thank you for the wonderful share baskets we have been receiving. The children are enjoying the wonderful treats and enjoy looking at our beautiful plants.
We are looking forward to a wonderful month of December.

Winter begins and in November
autumn always ends,
but the weather doesn’t matter
as long as we have friends.
The month of November brought times
of great thanks, fun and sharing.
Next month we will celebrate families
And show ways to be caring.
In the month of November, the Primary classes shared so many wonderful things they were thankful for. We heard they were thankful for hugs, chocolate, lollipops, pets, and Moms and Dads! We want to extend our appreciation for all the delicious items you sent. Our feast was a huge success. This month we worked on our pre-writing skills and traced over words to a thanksgiving poem or added sentences to pictures. We pieced together holiday puzzles, learned the parts of the turkey (living) and challenged the class to match different types of owls.
The classes are already excited for the upcoming holidays. The children will be exploring holidays around the world. We will focus on Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and Boxing Day. If there are any other celebrations you would like to share we welcome all visitors.
Please join us for the Holiday Sing Along on December 23rd at 2:30
