GES Weekly Bulletin

Learning Together
During the past week we continued building community and teaching routines. Students also did a lot of learning! Part of our vision is to for each child to develop a life long love of learning. How do we do that? Check out the images below for a peek at a few of the past week's activities.
Thank you for sharing your children with us!

Volunteerism
Volunteers are an essential part of the life of Great Expectations School. Consistent with Great Expectations’ philosophy, families are asked to volunteer a minimum of 24 hours per year.
Whether you prefer working with children or adults, in large or small groups, or independently, there is a place for you to volunteer. There is a volunteer log at the front desk for you to keep track of your hours.
Do you like to laugh and have fun?
We would love to have you join us in the lunch room! Duties may include pouring milk, wiping tables, sweeping floors, serving, or doing dishes. But will DEFINITELY include fun and laughter.
Please check your calendars and sign up for a slot. Thank you!
Chris, AbbyZak, and Jean
Are you experienced using modeling clay?
Would you be interested in afterschool care at GES?
We are exploring the option of offering afterschool care for GES students from 3:20 to 5:30 daily. If this service might be of interest to you, please fill out this interest form.
Construction Update
Please DO NOT Park on the Gunflint Trail
For the safety of all, please plan on picking up/dropping off your student on 5th Street. This plan is what students are being taught and veering from that plan causes confusion.
This week ......
- Wooden forms were installed for the concrete footings.
