good behavior of our students.
Thursdays....
Due to the health of a family member, I am going to be out of our classroom for the next several Thursdays. Family members have worked out a schedule to assist the one in need. I have requested that the same person be the substitute each Thursday if at all possible.
The Sub will not have access to my email or be able to retrieve phone messages. Please send written notes on a separate paper (not in planner) or call the school office.
This week
Reading
Math
We will finish up Topic 9 ... subtraction with regrouping. I'll send home the practice test Monday, which does not need to be returned. We will have the test Friday. Most students still need practice to do well consistently. It is my opinion that this is our toughest 2nd grade math skill.
We will start Topic 10, place value to the thousands place, in January.
Looking ahead, have your child counting change, using face clocks and watches, and measuring EVERYTHING.
