SASHS COURSE SELECTION INFORMATION
Attention Current 8th, 9th, 10th, & 11th Grade Students
Dear Students and Parents/Guardians:
It's time to start the course selection process for the 2024-2025 academic school year. This newsletter will provide you with the information to assist you with the scheduling process. The High School Counselors will be meeting with students in grades 8 through 11 the first full week of February to provide group instruction on how to select courses. Please note the details provided later in this newsletter on the specific meeting dates and times. We encourage all students to actively participate in these sessions. Each student will need to choose their classes for their next grade level. Students selecting their desired courses are a very important part of creating the master schedule for SASHS. We determine the number of course sections as well as if a course will actually run based upon student's requests. Please be intentional on your selections as they should reflect both progress toward fulfilling graduation requirements and mirror your interests in post-secondary career planning.
Beginning the week of February 5th, students in grades 8-11 will hear course selection presentations from school counselors.
Students will be able to make their course selections during the presentations as well as a few days following the presentations. Students will have until Monday, February 12th to make their course selections in their Skyward account.
Again, all course requests MUST be entered by 8:00am on Monday, February 12th, 2024.
We're here to support and guide you every step of the way. Feel free to reach out to our counseling team for any assistance.
Wishing you a successful academic year!
Best,
Your School Counseling Team
