From your GaVS Department Coordinators
Welcome to the Math Department
Hello & congratulations!!
Meet Mrs. Stephanie Arrington
Welcome to Georgia Virtual School. My name is Mrs. Stephanie Arrington and I am one of the Math Department Coordinators. I am looking forward to working with you! Here is some information so you can get to now me better.
I grew up in Canandaigua, NY near Rochester and Buffalo. I have two sisters with whom I am very close. In 2004, I moved to the suburbs of Atlanta with my husband, and we now have a 6 year old daughter named Mackenzie. I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and traveling.
I attended the State University at Potsdam for two years before transferring to the State University College at Buffalo where I earned my Bachelors in Math. I later attended the University of Phoenix earning a Masters in Education. After graduation, I taught eighth grade math for 4 years. Then I transferred to a nearby high school and taught math for 4 years and computer science for 3 years. I have been working for Georgia Virtual since 2011 and have been the Math Department Coordinator since 2012.
I look forward to working with each of you and getting to know you better. Please do not hesitate to contact me anytime you need help, have a question, or just want to chat!
