Principal's Report
Goodness! Only three and a half weeks left of our 2022 school year. Where has the year gone?
This week our junior classes have had their swimming lessons. A huge thank you to all the parents who were able to come along and help with these. It is exciting to see the progress so many of our students have made.
Our COVID case numbers across our school community have increased dramatically over the last week or so. Please monitor your children for symptoms and keep them at home if they are unwell. If you have a positive case in your household, children who are testing negative are still able to come to school, but they must be symptom free and have a negative test every morning.
We have another busy week next week with students involved in the Quadrathon and the Orange Parade.
Have a great weekend,
ngā mihi nui,
Vicki Neave

Whānau and School Update
Whānau and School Update:
Next Whānau and School meeting is Thursday 24th November 7pm in the staffroom. This will be the last meeting of the year and a great opportunity to see the wonderful benefits all our children get from the Whānau and School fundraising.
Home and Garden Tour - There is one group I forgot to thank last week - our own senior students! You did yourself and Balclutha School proud! We had so many great comments about you all and really appreciate you doing your bit on the day. Many thanks :-)
Christmas Raffle: A notice went home last week (and is attached again to this newsletter) asking for donations for our Christmas hampers. Thank you to everyone who has already dropped off your item. Please keep them coming!
The raffle cards have been given to the eldest or only child in each family today. There are 10 tickets per raffle card and tickets are $1 each. Happy selling :-) . Please remember we will need all cards returned, sold or unsold by Friday 9 December. If you have trouble selling your card, please return it to the school office asap, as we often have several families who are able to sell more than one card.
All the money raised will go towards paying for your children's stationery next year.
Have a great weekend.
Keep safe
