A Note From The Principal
Greetings Parents and Scholars,
Marian Wright Edelman is an American activist for children’s rights and educational advancement. I share her spirit of advocacy for children and her quest for educational equality. She once said, “Education remains one of the black community’s most enduring values”. As we open our doors at the George and Veronica Phalen Leadership Academy Tuesday, September 8th it is that value of children first and their educational plight that resonates with me. I want all scholars and parents to know that I not only advocate for your scholar’s education but also for his or her social and emotional well-being.
Although we are a closed campus to visitors during this COVID-19 pandemic, we are always open to your voices and concerns. We are committed to constant dialogue and transparency. You will continue to receive detailed information via our newsletter, emails, robo calls etc. Please work with us as we put children first in our decisions.
Advocate for Children,
Dr. Sue Starr
