second: view the schedule of appreciation HERE!
Everyone has been broken up and added to a grade level. PTA will mark X's separating you by at least 6ft. If people bring "gifts" then they will be placed in a container for you. No hugging or tears...on you! :)
This will be happening May 4th- May 8th.
Don't forget that we need all the amazon wish lists on the sheet Jenn sent you yesterday. :)
Thank you for letting them celebrate you!!!
Formalization of our close out plans...
Google Meets during week of May 11 – it is important that teachers continue to be available for their Meet times on May 13, 14, and 15, not because of providing new instruction, rather they will be helping those last few kids who haven’t turned in their work yet and/or need a re-teach. It is important to stay consistent with teacher Google Meet times up through Friday, May 15. Another thought – teachers may want to do a Google Meet from their classroom so that kids can see if one last time.
You will gather up your STUDENT ITEMS May 13-15, when and as you can. Start saving bags now! I'll have a system in the cafe to arrange for you before the 13th, but not before then.
We will work on our pick up plan for May 18th and 19th. Thank you to those who have already reached out! We will have plenty of people to get it done efficiently and quickly!
Student celebrations will be filmed on May 20th. Again, team leaders, you are in charge of designing what your EOY celebration looks like. K & 4th, we will meet next week. :)

Latest and greatest news!
Knowing we had big shoes to fill in that 4th grade math spot Mrs. Filip leaves vacant we decided to hire...Mr. Wade! That's right, he is back in 4th and will be partnering with Mrs. Leech.
Mrs. Tucker can now peacefully sleep through the night because she is going to be teaching math, her most preferred subject, and partner with Mrs. Huggins in 3rd grade!
Which left us with an opening an ELA 4th grade opening where we will have Mrs. Haley Garner! She comes us to from Forney where she has been teaching 7th grade, but she has also taught 4th grade. She and her precious family have just moved here from Forney and so we are excited to welcome her into our Wolf Pack! Fun fact: She actually moved into Mrs. Speicher's house! Please welcome her in, Wolves!
Advanced Rubrics

Counselor's Corner
If you have parents asking for resources to explain Covid-19 to our Wolves, you can share any of the resources below!!
Brainpop has a great video with facts and some lessons on the Coronavirus. Sharing facts is helpful to reduce some of the anxiety so children don't have misinformation.
Author, Julia Cook, has written a book that was illustrated by children called The Yucky Bug which you can view here.
NPR has published this awesome comic for kids about the coronavirus by Malaka Gharib.
Notes from the Nurse
I will be available on the "pick up" days to hand out all medications that remain in the clinic.
