Thank You Families

With all of our challenges that are faced every day in this very unique year, we here at JRB wanted to thank all of the families for their prompt and clear communication. Due to your quick questions, and in many cases Mrs. Flis's very fast answers, we have been able to head off many possible opportunities for spread in the school. So again, thank you Mrs. Flis, and thank you families. Keep up the great work!

Above are a few Wordles created in Mrs. Disalle's class.

Superkids Online Information for K-2 Parents

Dear Parents,

Superkids is one of the reading and writing programs we use at school in kindergarten, first, and second grades. It has an online component students can use at home. If you have a K-2 student, today you should have received an email from the Superkids Reading program inviting you to create an account. Students can access Superkids through this parent created account.

Superkids uses animal icons as passwords. Your classroom teacher will let you know which animal icon to use for his/her password. Click HERE for an info sheet on how to login to Superkids. Teachers may not be requiring use of the Superkids app at this time and it is okay to wait to follow the account set-up instructions until your child is asked to use Superkids. If you did not receive the email (only 1 parent did and we are happy to add additional parents), please email jlilley@awrsd.org to get an account.

Nurse Notes

Reminder to all parents of 3 rd Graders: Your child’s physical is due. If your child has had a physical in 2020 please have a copy forwarded to the health office if you have not already done so. If your child is in need of a physical, please make an appointment with their Primary Care Provider soon. If you need a form, please call the school nurse and one will be sent home. Physicals can always be faxed to the health office at 978-827-5699. Thanks for your prompt attention!

Thanks,

Mrs. Flis, RN

Snow Clothes and Masks

Please remember to send your child(ren) to school with proper outdoor attire. The fresh snow will lead to some very fun times at recess, but students will need boots, snow pants, gloves, and hats to enjoy the outside completely.

Also, if you have them around, please send in an extra mask with your child each day. When we have recess many masks end up quite wet. In addition, if you have cloth masks, writing a name on them is helpful. We find many on the floor or outside. We then wash them but have no way to return them without a name (or initials).

Show Your Support For JRB Staff In February

To Spread our appreciation and love for the JRB Staff and all their hard work and commitment, we wanted to decorate the school with colorful hearts in the week leading up to Valentine's Day. Hearts were sent home already, but if you have misplaced yours or want to do more than one, please feel free to select from the ones below. Have your child decorate the sheet, or make their own design and return them to their homeroom teacher.

Cohort A- turn in finished hearts on February 2nd (Tuesday)

Cohort B- turn in finished hearts on February 5th (Friday)

Feel free to return hearts early as well.
