Northwood Elementary School will provide higher-level learning opportunities for all students to maximize their potential in a safe, nurturing, respectful, and diverse environment.

Dress for the weather!

Please remember to send your child(ren) in dressed for the weather. At this time of year it is a good idea to keep a zipper hoodie or sweatshirt in their backpack. We go out everyday for recess unless it is raining or the temperature is approximately 15 degrees.

Remember to label everything.

Parent Connect

Please remember to make the following changes in Parent Connect if you need to.

Changes in the following are completed by parents in parent connect:

Phone numbers

Email Addresses

Primary and Emergency Contacts (who can pick up your child from school)

The update may not be reflected for 24 hours.

You cannot change your home address in the system. You must go to the Board Office.

Please email if you have any questions. We have computers available for parents to use. Thank you.

Q & A

1. Where is your lost and found?

The lost and found is on the stage in the cafeteria. Glasses are kept in the office. Sometimes it takes a few days for items to show up. LABEL EVERYTHING and it will help us get items back to you.

A few times a year we post notes on the doors/email and let you know we will be donated items that are not claimed.

2. Can I still join PTA?

Yes. Please join the PTA it is a wonderful way to stay connected. Joining does not commit you to volunteering but we would love you to consider.

3. How do I sign up for conferences?

Teachers choose their method of sign up. Contact the teacher for the sign up method. Conferences are by appointment only on 11/23, 12/1, or 12/3. They run from 4-7 pm. We aim for 100% participation (we want to see every child represented).

The PTA offers scholarships to events. Please contact Mrs. Ashburn to see if you would be a candidate for a scholarship.
