Newsies Set Goes On the Road

Last month, several Elida "Theater Dads" and alumni, including Bob O'Connor, Rob Vetters, Jon Frueh & Jon Frueh Jr. (2020), and Garrett Simmons (2020) traveled to Henderson, Tennessee to install the "Newsies" set for Jackson Christian High School for their upcoming performance of "Newsies." The set and props, which were custom made by our Elida Dads for the 2019 production, were loaded into a semi-truck, delivered and installed over two days. Great job, guys! We're glad to see the set being used once again. Elida Spirit is Generosity!

Middle School Collections Help Families over Christmas

The Middle School Student Council held their annual Toys for Tots drive before Christmas.

They took in over 90 toys to help out those in need. Jazzmyne Holycross (6th) donated 16 toys and was the winner of a gift card. The middle school students and staff also made donations for the annual drive for needy families. One teacher donated multiple bottles of laundry detergent, fabric softner and tissues. We were able to help four families, which included 15 children total, to receive toys, clothes and food. The students and staff collected over $2,100! Great job Middle School! Thank you to all who participated. Elida Spirit is Generosity!

New "Healthy Roster" App for H.S. Athletes

Mercy Health Sports Medicine and Elida Athletic Department are rolling out a new electronic medical records system called Healthy Roster for High School athletes only.

Healthy Roster will be utilized by your athletic trainer to document injury evaluations, treatments and rehab protocols. Along with this making medical documentation easier, Healthy Roster has a parent/guardian side where you can communicate with the athletic trainer and view certain portions of the documentation process to stay informed at all times.

Coaches will also have access to stay current and involved with the athlete's plan of care.

Overall, Healthy Roster will make communication of an athletic injury between athletic trainer, parent, and coach a BREEZE! Healthy Roster can be downloaded on your phone for free in the App Store. For more information on signing up CLICK HERE. Healthy Roster is going "live" on January 18th. Questions please contact Jaz Wagner at jwagner@elida.k12.oh.us.
