Gaming Club

Gaming Club was a blast! Bowen Dilks-Hicks had the highest grades on his grade sheet and won a Gaming Club hoodie. Way to go, Bowen! It's not too late to join! Club runs from 4:00PM - 5:30PM. The next club is Wednesday, March 30th in the FJH library. The cost is $100. We do have a few spots made available for kids who need financial assistance that makes club free of charge to them. They just need to have teachers fill out a grade sheet and return it to Mrs. Melling. All kids are required to have teachers fill out a grade sheet - no D's or F's, no missing work, no behavior problems. Games include NBA2K, Madden, FIFA, Rocket League, Super Smash Bros., and Mario Kart. Championships will be held in May for top gamers in Indianapolis. Come join us! Game on!

My Energy Kit Classroom Challenge

Mrs. Melling's classes with the help of FJH Families have continued the My Energy Kit Classroom Challenge. So far, $200 has been earned for our school! Want to help conserve energy, save money for your family, and earn money for our school? Go to myenergykit.org and enter our classroom code 64144 to request a kit every 12 months. You do not have to be a Duke Energy customer. Our school will still get credit for your request, even though you will not receive a free kit energy-saving kit for your home. Thank you for your help!

Author Brian Zepka visit on April 26th

Hi, FJH! The Writing Club is proud to announce that we will be having Brian Zepka talk to us after school on Tuesday, April 26, 2022. Mr. Zepka wrote the book The Temperature of Me and You. This book is a LGBTQIA novel for teens about a boy named Jordan who can control fire, a power which eventually starts spreading to his boyfriend Dylan. The two must work together to evade an evil corporation hunting down Jordan to experiment on him. The Temperature of Me and You is slated to have a Disney+ adaptation in the near future. You can order a copy of the book from the FJH Writing Club in the coming week. With your order, you will get an autograph book plate and more swag from Mr. Zepka. Orders end on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, so get yours quickly. For more information and book forms, please feel free to stop by and talk to Mrs. Alexander in the library.
