Special Edition: Apple Fest
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
Dear Brooklyn Collaborative Families,
Last Saturday, BCS/BNS students, families and teachers were pressing apples into cider, eating chili, participating in the zombie fashion, creating a banana piano thanks to the BCS Robotics Team and so much more for a fun-filled event--Apple Fest-- BCS/BNS community fundraiser. BCS students were amazing as face painters, ice cream scoopers, ticket sellers, and other assistants. What a treat to see how our school came together for a day of celebration and community spirit! Thank you for your continued support and thanks to all the parent volunteers.
As fall settles in, bringing with it colorful foliage, markets lined with pumpkin-infused gastronomic treats, and family weekends spent apple picking and sipping cinnamon-spiced apple cider, BCS and BNS are excitedly preparing for Apple Fest--our annual fall, family-fun, fundraising community builder.-on Saturday, October 24th from 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
We need your time, energy, enthusiasm, and presence for Apple Fest to be a success! Help us spread the word to your friends and family. How about volunteering to help out at one of the booths---arts & crafts, food, flea market, or sports? If you are an early riser, kick start your day by helping us to set up for the carnival. Perhaps you faithfully watch shows on the Food Network and have tried out several of the recipes. Don’t hesitate to cook and bake for the Apple Fest. Come out and spend the day enjoying live music, cheering with the BCS cheer squad, playing games, face painting, indulging your palate in sumptuous waffles, 5-alarm chili, hamburgers, gourmet sandwiches, apples, and so much more. Sign up here to support BCS: link to Volunteer Spot!
Bring family and friends. All the proceeds will benefit BCS and BNS students. Be sure to wear your BCS shirts to show our school spirit in full force. Look forward to volunteering and to seeing you at Apple Fest
A HUGE Thank You to everyone who made it out to AppleFest on ay, especially following our move to Sunday! Thank you for joining us on the much sunnier (and ridiculously windy) day! It’s all of you who make it so special.
And a more HUGE thank you and shout out to all of our volunteers - It truly would not happen without the dedication of the families and students (and administrators!) who run all of our activities and food stations and make all of our chili, sandwiches, burgers, waffles and bake sale treats! It was wonderful seeing everyone work together as a community to raise money to support our wonderful schools!
Thank you!!
